Ironman France
Wow! Nice is truly a beautiful town. The weather was fantastic, although maybe a little hot for racing.
The water was clam no surf what so ever. The bike course was amazing. There was little towns built into the mountainside. It was unbelievable. The course was extremely hilly. One hill went on for 12 miles! And another was a 12 % grade! Toward mile 85 though 100 it was all down hill. Smooth , curvy and down it was perfect after 85 miles of hard riding.
The run was totally flat. It was a 4 loops along the ocean front. The race went good. I did not meet my goal of 12:30. But, finished in 12:55. I met a lot of interesting people from all over the world. It was a great experience.
